The Details
The Colnago Y1Rs celebrates the World Champion title with a special livery inspired by the colours and symbols of the rainbow jersey, while paying tribute to the rider and the place where the victory was achieved.
The frame features a glossy black base, enriched with a subtle glitter effect embedded in the finish. Under the light, the particles create a constellation of tiny points across the surface — a detail that subtly recalls the stars of the American flag, paying tribute to Brandon McNulty and his role in bringing the World Champion title back to the USA.
Against this deep black background, the traditional rainbow colours are reinterpreted through a bold colour-block scheme, with strong, sharply defined bands of blue, red, yellow and green extending across the frame and rear stays.
The Colnago logo on the down tube features an iridescent, holographic finish, adding a shifting play of colour as the frame catches the light and complementing the vibrant World Champion graphics.
The celebration of the victory continues in the finer details. On the head tube, the vintage Colnago logo features the rainbow stripes, bringing together the World Champion colours with elements of Colnago’s visual heritage.
Another detail is revealed on the headset cover. As the handlebars are turned, the date of the World Championship victory appears alongside an ace of clubs and a maple leaf, the symbol of Canada and a direct reference to Montréal, where the World Championships took place.
The result is a Y1Rs that brings together the rainbow jersey, American pride, Colnago heritage and the story of Montréal in a single frame — with every detail designed to mark the moment when Brandon McNulty became World Champion.
